Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has accused the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment.

Natasha, representing Kogi Central Federal Constituency, made the allegation when she appeared on AriseTV Morning Show on Friday, 28th February.

The lawmakers has been having a faceoff in the Senate, the latest happened on last week Thursday, where the Senate President tried to step down Senator Natasha’s motion, an act which did not sit well with the lawmaker.

Speaking on what led to the Thursday event, Senator Natasha said, trouble started when she declined Senator Akpabio’s sexual advancement a few years ago.

She said: “My issue with Akpabio started on 8th of December, 2023. When myself and my husband visited Akwa Ibom for Senator Akpabio’s birthday.

“Akpabio was showing me around his house and was holding my hands with my husband following behind us when he said, he wants me to come and be spending special moments in his house.

“My husband heard him and later told me not to travel abroad alone or be with the Senate President alone”

She said, since the sexual advancement which she declined, Senator Akpabio has, in several occasions stepped down her motion in the senate plenary.
