The governor who described the act as pollution said anyone caught preaching in the market square or commercial buses will pay a fine of N500,000.00

Soludo made the announcement when he visited a market in the state and saw a preacher who mounted megaphone while preaching in the middle of the market.

According to the governor, while everyone in Anambra has freedom of worship, it’s against the law for anyone to use his/her religion to disturb others. He said the preacher is causing pollution and should stop immediately.

“If you want to preach the word of God, you go to your church, you cannot to market place and start disturbing everyone, what you are doing here is unlawful”, Soludo tells the preacher.
