VIDEO: Rochas Okorocha, Cubana Chiefpriest calls for Release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu

Former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has called for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB.

Okorocha made the plea during the memorial service of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a former senator from Anambra State.

During the memorial service which was attended by top dignitaries across the country, Okorocha called on the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio to facilitate the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

He said, the release of Kanu will bring lasting peace to the southeast region.

Abacity.ng recalled that since 2021 Mazi was rearrested by the Nigerian authorities, the IPOB leader has been held in solitary confinement despite several court orders to release him on bail.

Similarly, Nightlife mogul, Cubana Chiefpriest has joined other well meaning Nigerians to call for the release of Mazi Kanu, in an Instagram post, Cubana appealed to the Nigerian authorities to heed to the plea made by Okorocha and release Kanu.

According to him, releasing Kanu will bring sanity to the region and allow people to go home and rebuild the place.

He said: “Those Plea From Owelle Ndi Igbo Is All We Ask For Our Dear Inlaw, Let OHAMADIKE Ndi Igbo, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Come Back Home Soon, It’s Almost Five Years Now We All Have Not Had Access To Our Home Town, Only His Release Can Restore Peace Back In Our Region.

“We Have Lost So Much Lives & Properties We Need To Build Back SouthEast ASAP Make Una Help Us.
