Who told you your wife must cook for you? Is a question bride’s father asked his son in-law during their wedding day.
In a viral video obtained by abacity.ng – father of the bride, during his speech at the marriage ceremony of his daughter has asked his son in-law not to always expect his wife to cook for him.
According to him, the groom did not marry the bride only to cook for him, rather, whenever the bride can not cook, the groom can go to the kitchen and make food for himself.
He used himself as an example, stressing that, it’s important the groom respect his wife not to see her as a maid who is obligated to cook for him. He said even in his home, he personally make dishes when his wife cannot cook food.
The video has generated mixed reactions online.

Another user wrote: “I don’t really agree with this. I think it is the duty of the wife as much as the husband is the provider. Even if they have a 100 maids or cook, the man would still turn to her, she can instruct the cooks but it’s her department still.”
