VIDEO: Massive Protest in Warri as Ijaw Nation Demands Nyesom Wike’s Removal as FCT Minister
Ijaw people in Warri, Delta State on Saturday flood the streets in a massive protest against Nyesom Wike’s remarks on the Ijaw ethnic nationality.
Protesters are demanding his immediate removal as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), insisting that his comments are an insult to the Ijaw people.
The demonstration has intensified, with chants and banners calling for justice and respect for the Ijaw nation. Security forces are on the ground as tensions continue to rise.
Wike, a former Rivers State governor and Minister of FCT had in a press conference addressed Ijaw nation as the minority group in the South South region.
A comment which caused protest in the region.
