VIDEO: Ebonyi Senator, Okorie Ani Empowers his Constituents with Cooking Pots
Nigeria lawmaker, Senator Okorie Ani, representing Ebonyi South Federal Constituency, Ebonyi State, has been spotted sharing brand new cooking pots to his constituents.
The senator was said to have empowered his people by giving them cooking pots as means of empowerment.
The empowerment has caused lots of buzz on social media as netizens reacts with different opinions.
An X user said: “Do they do these things intentionally? Transistor radio, Okada tyres, cooking pots, etc. Is this how their constituents will truly get empowered??”
Another user said: “They give the people pots, then steal the firewood, gas, and food. This isn’t empowerment—it’s mockery in high resolution.”
Another believe that the constituents should also be blamed for the kind of empowerment they receive from their senators.
“Don’t drink panadol over their headache. They didn’t reject the pot.
If they start rejecting such gifts, the senators will upgrade and do better.” The user said.
Meanwhile, his constituents later conferred him an award for the empowerment.
