The takeover of the secretariat marks a significant turning point for the party in Lagos, with stakeholders declaring a renewed commitment to transparency, unity, and accountability. However, what was expected to be a routine transition quickly took an unexpected turn, with several startling discoveries inside the office of the former State Chairperson, Pastor Dayo Ekong.

During the transition process, the stakeholders made a shocking discovery, over 200 bags of rice, reportedly meant for party members and grassroots stakeholders, were found concealed in the office premises.

According to some sources at the secretariat, the rice was hidden under the directive of the former Lagos State Chairperson, Pastor Dayo Ekong. A security personnel at the office, speaking under anonymity, revealed that he had been instructed on several occasions to load bags of rice into Pastor Ekong’s vehicle. This revelation raises concerns that the number of diverted bags may have been significantly higher than what was recovered.

What shocked the stakeholders even more was the discovery beneath a drawer of the former chairperson’s desk: a calabash wrapped in red cloth, decorated with feathers, and containing an unknown substance. The presence of such an object raised fear, especially considering Pastor Ekong’s role as a self-proclaimed pastor.

After a moment of stunned silence, some of the stakeholders mustered the courage to move the calabash outside the building and discovered some names written on white paper and attached to the fetish items.

The atmosphere turned tense as fear gripped those present. Some stakeholders immediately set the calabash ablaze, while others gathered in prayer, visibly shaken by the discovery.

Speaking to the press, one of the stakeholders remarked, “It is deeply disturbing that such an object would be found in the office of someone who claims to be a pastor. The presence of this raises questions, and we are choosing to confront this spiritually and legally.

“We won’t release the about 15-20 names found in the paper because these people are Party members and we would reach them directly and confront this head on. However we have set these items ablaze but we will confront it and know what challenges these members are facing due to this fetish.”
