A man has confessed to setting ablaze his wife and three children in Asaumudim, Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
The tragic incident took place yesterday, 17th May, 2025.
Confessing to the crime, the suspect , a native of Obingwa LGA, said he was triggered by his suspicion that his wife was having an affair, due to her phone frequently ringing.
The suspect, during an interrogation, said he doused his family with a flammable substance before igniting the fire, leading to the horrific deaths.
Authorities have yet to release official statements, but the incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with residents expressing grief and outrage.
