Mrs. Florence Nweke, the wife of the former Rivers State Head of Service, George Nweke has alerted the public of her husband’s sudden disappearance.
Mrs. Nweke said her husband granted the viral interview under duress after he was invited to Abuja yesterday.
Recall that George Nweke, a former head of service in Rivers State under the suspended governor Siminalayi Fubara, resigned from his position a few days ago.
Yesterday, Mr. Nweke appeared on ChannelsTV, stating that he was fired by the Rivers State Sole Admistrator he resigned willingly. According to him, he wanted to resign earlier but was afraid of the suspended governor.
He accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of behind the burning of the Rivers State House of Assembly complex.
Reacting, Nweke’s wife said her husband granted the interview under duress, she alleged that her husband resigned after he was asked to signed a petition against his boss, Siminalayi Fubara, that he stole N15 billion Naira.
According to Mrs. Nweke, her husband refused to signed and wrote his resignation letter, stressing that he can not sign what he was not aware of.
She called on Nigerians to come to their aide, adding that her husband was kidnapped and whatever he said in the interview was not his intention rather, he was forced.
